Lynne Drake
is a natural born artist experienced in a multitude of art mediums. She
earned a BFA in graphic design with honors from Long Island University’s CW Post campus and has a Master’s Degree from Stony Brook University. Lynne
also is a certified NYS K-12 art teacher. As a youth, she received several
art scholarships and as an adult, several academic scholarships.
“Art
penetrates our lives consciously and unconsciously existing not just in
beauty or song but in all that we do and feel. Art evokes emotion and moves
us -transcending us from one place to another. Learning to develop a
sensitivity and appreciation of art allows us to evolve as more educated and
culturally aware human beings and in doing so we positively impact the world
we live in.
Individuality is liberating and takes courage, and originality separates the
extraordinary from the ordinary. I hope to help my students recognize and
achieve that which they never thought they could…and to understand the
challenges that transform them through that journey!”
